Are you unhappy in your current career path and ready to make a change? Have you been searching for how to find your dream job? Or how about just looking for a job that doesn’t suck? If so, you have probably run into this scenario.
You’re searching for websites for tips and inspiration about how to find work that you love. Suddenly you find yourself in this rabbit hole: follow your passion, work less and make more, work only four hours a week, travel the world while you work, never work again, only do things you love all while makes loads of cash! And so on.
Eventually, you start thinking that the only way to be happy at work is to give up everything and start a passive online business where you kick your boss the curb and never have to work again! Gosh! I know! It sounds great to me too! But…
How realistic is that though? Do you really never want to work again? Wouldn’t it be better just to find a career or start a business you enjoy and do that until you are ready to retire?
This is the purpose of the Work Happiness Project. It’s the practical approach to crafting a work-life that you love – not one you want to run away from.
Do you know why there are so many of those rabbit hole sites? Because it sells. Those websites take advantage of the fact that everyone in the world dreams of being rich and free from working in a career that they hate. I mean – who wants to work in a career they hate and be poor for the rest of their lives? No one.
These sites sell you on the dream and most do not add any real value to your life. If you read enough money making and online business blogs, you’ll see they are all trying to sell you this lifestyle, so they can maintain their lifestyle and make money off of your dreams.
I know there is a better way to find happiness at work and in life. The key is to find a career or build a business that you love and use it to make yourself wealthy (hey, there’s a concept that works).
Well, that’s my opinion and that is what the Work Happiness Project is about. It’s not a gimmick that promises you wealth and riches in a short amount of time. It is a whole life approach. It starts with finding the work that works for you, learning good money management skills along the way, and ends with you happy to go to work until you’re ready to retire.
In a nutshell – work happiness is simply finding work you love and using good money management skills to enjoy your preferred lifestyle and maintain that lifestyle when you retire.
So, if you’re ready to leave the rabbit hole and get on the path to work happiness, please follow along as I explore these topics and more. I will apply what I learn to my own life while pursuing my own Work Happiness Project.
